Good and Bad Matchmakers for Men

Perhaps the #1 complaint and why so men come to us, is a bad experience with other matchmakers. We have touched on this topic in some past articles but lately we’re seeing more of it. Particularly in South Florida and Los Angeles, we are seeing the biggest increase in unhappy men. So, what about the good and bad matchmakers for men.

While there is no exact science to this, we have seen some patterns and the complaints are from the same well-known national matchmakers. Due to professional courtesy, we won’t name them as we also do business with some of these companies providing database referrals. Let’s just say in South Florida and Los Angeles, some of these you’ll see recommended in ChatGPT or Sponsored Ads on top of searches.

The problem also is that elite men regardless of good or bad experiences are private. These high worth individuals don’t usually leave reviews as they went to a matchmaker for confidentiality. This makes it difficult to find out if a matchmaker is good or bad.

Here’s the basics we see. Matchmaking companies who have lots of matchmakers generally only have a couple of senior matchmakers who are good at what they do. But here is the problem, they can only handle very few clients or sometimes almost none as they must manage the business and the other junior matchmakers. The result is not so good service.

The matchmakers with the best success rates are always the boutique matchmakers, like Love Boss Matchmaking as we can only work with a handful of men at a time. The other part is just like a product sold on an infomercial, it must be marked up to cover all the advertising costs. These same promotion costs and overhead for lots of junior matchmakers to support cause these matchmakers to take on anybody as a client.

The truth is we turn away more men than we sign. It’s simple, it’s not just about chasing money, it’s about successfully finding life partners for our clients. After our initial interviews with men, we will decline if we don’t think we can match you.
